The real CBP wire format — not an abstraction layer on top of someone else’s filing system. Our engine generates native CATAIR records (SE, AE, OI/PG) and X12 EDI documents (309 manifest, 355 ISF) and transmits them directly to CBP ACE through the Automated Broker Interface. Edge validation catches errors in under a millisecond. A GCP message queue guarantees reliable delivery. From data entry to CBP acceptance in seconds.
The electronic equivalent of CBP Form 3461. SE records transmit entry header data: importer of record, consignee, port of entry, estimated arrival date, bond information, and line-item summaries. For immediate delivery requests, the SE transmission must reach CBP before cargo arrival. Our pipeline ensures entries are queued and transmitted as soon as data is available — typically hours before the vessel or truck reaches the port.
The electronic equivalent of CBP Form 7501. AE records carry the complete duty declaration: every line item with its 10-digit HTS code, declared value, duty rate, MPF, HMF, and total estimated duties owed. AE records must be filed within 10 business days of cargo release. Our engine calculates all fees deterministically and generates the AE records automatically from the classification and valuation data.
OI (Other Information) and PG (Partner Government Agency) records carry the compliance data that CBP shares with other agencies. FDA product codes, TTB permit and COLA numbers, APHIS commodity flags, EPA certification statements, CPSC compliance indicators — each PGA has its own record format within the CATAIR specification. Our PGA screening engine generates these records automatically.
X12 309 is the vessel manifest (Cargo Declaration) transmitted by carriers and NVOCCs. X12 355 is the Importer Security Filing (ISF-10 or ISF-5) required for ocean shipments. Both use ANSI X12 EDI format rather than CATAIR fixed-width records. Our engine generates both documents and manages the ISF timing requirements — ISF must be filed 24 hours before vessel loading at the foreign port.
Product classification, valuation, country of origin, importer/consignee, and PGA screening results are assembled into a complete entry record. Whether the data comes from our classification engine, your ERP system, or a manual upload, the filing pipeline accepts it in any format and normalizes it into CATAIR-ready fields.
The engine generates native CBP record formats: SE records for entry/immediate delivery data (Form 3461 equivalent), AE records for entry summary data (Form 7501 equivalent), OI records for other agency information, and PG records for PGA-specific data. Each record adheres to the current CATAIR Implementation Guide specifications — field positions, data types, and validation rules.
Before transmission, every record passes through edge validation on Cloudflare Workers in under 1 millisecond. The validator checks field lengths, required elements, cross-field dependencies, HTS code format, value reasonableness, and PGA record completeness. Valid entries are queued on GCP Cloud Pub/Sub for reliable, ordered delivery to CBP.
Entries flow from the message queue through our ABI connection to CBP's Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). Response messages from CBP — acceptance confirmations, rejection notices, release notifications, and liquidation updates — are parsed and returned to your system in real time. The full filing lifecycle is tracked from submission to liquidation.
CATAIR records are validated at the edge before entering the filing queue. Format errors, missing required fields, and cross-reference failures are caught instantly — not hours later when CBP rejects the transmission. Fix errors before they become delays.
SE (entry), AE (summary), OI (other agency), PG (PGA data), X12 309 (manifest), X12 355 (ISF). Every record type CBP accepts through ABI is supported. No manual forms, no partial filings, no paper supplements.
CBP response messages are parsed and delivered to your system within seconds of ACE processing. Entry accepted, entry rejected with reason code, cargo released, hold placed, liquidation notice — every status change is surfaced immediately.
Cloudflare edge validation ensures data quality. Cloudflare Tunnel provides secure connectivity. GCP Pub/Sub message queue guarantees exactly-once delivery and handles throughput spikes. The CBP ACE endpoint receives clean, validated, properly sequenced entries.
Submit entry data via REST API and receive CATAIR records back in the response for audit. Or let the engine file directly — POST your shipment data, and the next thing you see is a CBP acceptance confirmation. Full programmatic control over the filing lifecycle.
Post-entry amendments (PEAs), protests, and prior disclosure filings use the same pipeline. Modify a classification, adjust a value, or correct an origin declaration — the engine generates the appropriate amendment records and retransmits through ABI.
Connect your TMS or customs management system to our ABI filing pipeline. Generate CATAIR records from your data and transmit directly to CBP with sub-millisecond validation.
